Best Fall Cocktails for Fantasy Nerds

Fantasy Nerds love the fall season, especially Halloween! It becomes totally normal to dress up as our favorite fantasy characters and tell spooky stories. And for those of us over 21, there are some great fall cocktails to drink. We thought we would share some fun fall fantasy cocktails with you! We even created some signature recipes just for this post!

Witch’s Brew

This drink recipe is WTF’s signature cocktail! She came up with this recipe from her love of Halloween and Taco Bell’s Baja Blast! It’s simple to make, and delicious!

2 shots of Triple Sec

1 cup of Baja Blast

1 squirt of lime juice

2 drops of green food coloring

This is a fun recipe that requires minimum time and a quick stop at Taco Bell! When I made this recipe I hadn’t had alcohol in roughly a month, and after one I was already feeling like I couldn’t properly fly a broom! You can start with only one shot if you prefer. The citrus flavor from the Baja Blast and the hint of lime juice mixes so well with the orange flavor of the Triple Sec, it’s the perfect spell for a fun Halloween night!

Dragon’s Breath

This one is Clever’s signature cocktail, inspired by her love of dragons and Fireball. Also, a fall cocktail list wouldn’t be complete without an apple cinnamon drink!

12oz glass of apple juice or apple cider

1 shot of Fireball

1 shot of Crown Apple

This drink is very simple to make. You can make a cold version with apple juice, or a hot version with warm apple cider. Then, just pour in the 2 shots and stir. The fiery cinnamon flavor mixed with the slight burn of the Crown will make you feel like you have dragon’s breath!

Tipsy Fairy

This shimmery drink with its berry flavors seems like exactly what a fairy would drink. We came up with this idea together by tweaking this recipe to make it our own, and we thought the name Tipsy Fairy suited our variation. The recipe also has a link to make your own shimmery liqueur, since Viniq is hard to come by. With the endless flavors of vodka available, you could create your own signature Tipsy Fairy to suit your taste!

2-3 shots of Viniq or Shimmery Liqueur

1 shot blackberry vodka

1 tsp grenadine

To make this drink, place the Viniq and vodka in a shaker with a couple of ice cubes. Shake to chill, and then strain the drink into your glass. Slowly pour in 1 tsp of grenadine, letting it sink to the bottom for a magical effect. Serve with a stirrer to mix your fairy concoction!

Spiked Butterbeer

What is more perfect for fall than the adult version of Butterbeer? Don’t pretend that you don’t want to dress up in your hogwarts robe and sip this cocktail from your official Butterbeer mug. I know it’s not just me!

1 can of cream soda (cold)

1 shot butterscotch schnapps

1 shot vanilla vodka

Garnish: whipped cream and butterscotch syrup

Pour the shots into the bottom of your mug, and add the cold cream soda. Give a flick of your wand to make it extra delicious (optional). Top with whipped cream and butterscotch syrup.

Elven Arcwine

This is a family recipe for our Mom’s amazing Sangria, but we think it’s something Elves would totally enjoy! This one takes a bit more time to make, but trust us, it is worth it!

3 cups of Cranberries

1 Orange

1 Bottle of Moscato

1/4 cup of Triple Sec

1/4 cup of Brandy

3 Tbsp of sugar

2 cans of Sprite

Cook 2 cups of cranberries in 1 cup of water and 3 Tbsp of sugar, until berries are soft and water is slightly thickened. Pour berries in a strainer and mash the berries. Put strained berry mixture in a pitcher, and add wine, Triple Sec, Brandy, sliced orange and remaining whole cranberries. Let sit in refrigerator for a few hours. When ready to serve add Sprite.

Halloween Hypnotist

This recipe intrigued me with it’s interesting glowing garnish. It would be perfect for your guests at a Halloween party!

2 ounces hpnotiq liquor

1 ounce vodka

1 squirt of lemon (or lime) juice

Glow Stick Garnish

While simple to make, the Halloween aesthetic payoff is incredible! The taste is so smooth, and if you don’t have a cocktail shaker; I used two cups with ice and poured back and forth to get a shaken result! Happy glowing!
