Clever&WTF’s New Writer’s Contest!

Clever&WTF’s New Writer’s Contest!

Welcome, Writers! We have decided to host our second New Writer’s Contest, where you can win the title of “Clever&WTF’s Best New Writer of 2023”!

The contest is open to all new writers, and preference will be given to previously unpublished authors (for purposes of this contest, posting to your own blog isn’t considered being published). We are leaving the definition of “new writer” up to you. You may have been writing for awhile, but never published or only recently started sharing your work. We are just looking to help up-and-coming authors expand their audience. Submit if you feel so inclined!

We will publish the winner’s story on our blog along with a bio, including any links to your own blog, social media, or website. We are not asking for any rights to your story, just permission to publish on our site. You may publish your story anywhere else you like at any time, and we will even accept reprints. We are simply looking to introduce our audience to some new writers!

The deadline to submit is June 7th. We will notify the winner by June 11th and feature their story on our blog on June 18th. There are no restrictions on format or length of story, although our preference is for stories under 5,000 words, as our audience is used to shorter stories. To submit your short story, go to our contact page and paste your story in the body of the email. Also, include your bio and any links you would like us to share.

In addition to sharing your story on our blog and promoting it on social media, you will receive an exclusive banner/graphic proclaiming your title of “Clever&WTF’s Best New Writer of 2023”! We can’t wait to read your stories!
