Title Prompt Challenge

Welcome, fellow Writers!

This week we have decided to hold a fun challenge, for ourselves and you! The challenge is to write a short story based on a title prompt. Clever’s husband created a list of titles for us so that we could participate too, with these surprise titles as the prompt. We will each choose one title from the list to write a story about, which you will be able to read over the next few weeks as we post them to the blog. But we also wanted to challenge you all to choose a title from the list and write your own story!

Clever’s Choice

Clever has chosen to write a story for the title Lost Witch Department. What will the story be about? Well, we’ll share the motto for the LWD: When magic goes awry, we help you find your way.

WTF’s Choice

WTF has chosen to write a story for the title Undead Garden Club. We’ve included a brief look into the story!

As the undead nurture their garden, the club cultivates a vibrant sanctuary that bridges the realms of the living and the dead, celebrating both life and afterlife in every enchanting petal.

The Guest’s Choice

You’ll also be thrilled to know we’ll have another appearance from The Guest, who has chosen the title The Eyes That Gaze Back.

Bonus Collab Story 

There was one title on the list that we both loved, and rather than fight over it, we decided to write a bonus collaborative story to the prompt…Pixies and Pints! Stay tuned for this story to close out the challenge.

Join Us

Feel free to choose a title and write your own story, even if it’s a title we’ve already chosen. There could be so many different takes on each title, and we’re interested to see what you come up with! You can post these stories to your own blog, if you have one, or submit to us via our contact form and we will choose a winner to post to our blog on November 3rd! 

If you do decide to post the story to your blog or Medium page, you can still submit the link to us and we will create a post with the links to stories written for the challenge. If you would like to be included in that round-up post, be sure to link to this challenge post when you share your story and comment here to let us know where to find your story! You can also tag us on your Medium post, to make it easy for us to find. Be sure to post your story by November 3rd, if you would like to be included in our round-up post.
