The Eternity Card

Imagine you’re having a rough day, walking home from an exhausting day at work. Through the hustle and bustle of other commuters, feet slapping on the pavement, wondering how you can make your life better. Lost in thought, you stumble across something shimmering on the pavement. Curiosity gets the best of you, and you reach down to pick it up. It’s a plastic credit card, and your first thought is that someone must have lost it, so you glance around at the nearest store, intending to leave it with them.

You look at the front of the card when suddenly the details start to shift and change before your eyes. Your name appears. You blink and shake your head and bring the card even closer to your face. Yup, that is your full government name on the card. What the hell?

Your phone chimes, shaking you from your dismay. You got a text, upon opening it it’s from an unknown number.

Greetings. You have found the Eternity Card, and it is now linked to your credentials. You may use the card however you please for the next 180 minutes. Your limit is $1,000,000.

Dumbfounded and in disbelief, your mind starts to race. What do you do?

For this story, we’re trying something new! This is interactive, and we’re hoping you’ll leave comments on what you would do with the Eternity Card. For my next story, a month from now, I will incorporate whatever you leave in the comments! I’ll also include some of my own ideas, along with whatever our readers decide.

Please comment below on what you’d like the character to use the funds on, and I look forward to the comments and writing them into the next part of the story. Look for the next part on August 2nd!

Thank you so much for reading and being a part of this!

A nice dinner at a local French restaurant to relax after hard day at work and have time to think over what to do with the card. Also a way to test it it – you can afford the dinner at your favorite restaurant conveniently on your way home so you can stop in whenever you want just in case the card does not work. Some of the ideas you come up with: shopping, your favorite charity (some kind of animal rescue, care, shelter), a trip to France/Paris, gifts for your family, pay for some medical procedure someone in your family desperately needs, move your mom/dad to a nicer retirement facility…
