Halloween Horror Nights 2023

Welcome, Fantasy Nerds! This week we want to share with you our most recent adventure…Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. This is a family tradition that we look forward to every year. Read on to find out what it’s like to go and hear about all the fun we had!

We of course had to get souvenir cups, they are different every year, but they always light up! We got the two speciality drinks which were delicious, they had Ghoul Juice which is the orange one, they had this one last year and it was our favorite!

Awesome view of HHN from the bridge that splits through the park!

Dueling Dragons was a house we knew we had to visit from the moment we heard about it. In this house, there was a mage battle going on around you as you walked through! Near the end, you picked a mage to follow and see their fate, when walking in there was a huge castle and the two mages had their spell books on display, and each path was lit up with their corresponding colors. Visually this house was astounding!

The house we all agreed that was the scariest was Blood Moon Dark Offerings. The theme was a cult mid their blood moon rituals, including sacrifices. The scariest part was walking through seemingly church pews, and seated were roughly a dozen hooded cultist members with a disturbing scene on display. You walked between two sides of the pews and didn’t know which cult members would pop out at you, it was terrifying!

This is the Korean corn dog and probably our favorite of the foods we had! We also had some poutine and the classic turkey leg.

Group photo as we were about to enter our first house of the night, The Last of Us! This was before the fear took hold, mwuhahaha. The house was awesome, and the makeup for the Clickers was so creepy and incredibly well done.

We couldn’t take pictures of it, but we made it to the show Nightmare Fuel Revenge Dream. The show was honestly incredible, it had tons of dancing, acrobatics, and fire!

Overall we made it through six houses, and of course, we rode The Mummy! The houses we went through were The Last of Us, Dueling Dragons, Blood Moon Dark Offerings, Chucky, The Darkest Deal, and Stranger Things. They were all visually so well done, Universal never disappoints, and we definitely got scared in every single one!

What are you doing this year for Halloween? Let us know in the comments below! Happy Halloween Fantasy Nerds!

Thank you so much for reading!
